Job summary

Autodesk in Sheffield is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test to help build automated quality and software delivery systems for a new Electron-based desktop platform. This hands-on role focuses on test automation, CI/CD pipelines, desktop packaging, and release validation across Windows environments.

You will develop and maintain tests, pipelines, and release processes, troubleshoot issues with engineers, and contribute to test plans and environment automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
• Experience developing automated tests for software applications
• Experience with CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins, CloudBees CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar
• Familiarity with Git and standard development workflows
• Ability to troubleshoot common software, test automation, build and environment problems
• Understanding of software testing: functional, integration, regression, end-to-end

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain test automation for a desktop platform
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and release automation
• Assist with Windows desktop packaging, code signing, and release validation
• Troubleshoot build/test failures and reproduce issues
• Collaborate with engineers to improve product quality and release processes
