Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Systems Engineer to engineer, optimize, and secure the firm’s core enterprise infrastructure, focusing on Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and cloud-hybrid subsystems.

The role involves installation, performance tuning, management, and monitoring, with travel up to 25% and after-hours work as needed. The candidate should bring hands-on server management experience and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Three (3) or more years of hands-on experience administering and managing large-scale server environments (50+ endpoints).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Manager (System Center), EMS and/or Active Directory preferred.
• Prior experience with on premise (SAN/NAS) and virtual storage (VMware ESXi) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and maintains servers and possibly storage systems.
• Analyzes and troubleshoots system issues.
• Performs and coordinates server replacements and server builds.
• Monitors, manages and maintains Active Directory.
• Assists with, and may lead, setting assigned technology strategies of the firm.
• Acts as a technical resource for the Project Management Office.
• Completes and upgrades system documentation.
