Windows Support Engineer (Focus on Endpoint Analytics)

The Endpoint Systems Platform Configuration office requires skilled Windows 10/11 Support Engineers. The primary responsibility is to provide support for all Windows 10/11-related issues, primarily researching endpoint analytics and investigating items that impact Windows 10/11 performance and end user experience.

Description:

• Evaluate endpoint analytical data and Windows event/log data to identify workstation performance issues or incident drivers.
• Investigate and identify root causes and remediation for Windows 10/11-related issues, including:
• Operating system issues
• Software installation and configuration
• Network connectivity issues
• Conflicting third-party applications

Monitor system performance and collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

Required skills:

• Deep knowledge of Windows 10/11 OS, features, architecture, and functionalities
• Experience installing and configuring Windows 10/11 on various platforms
• Understanding of updates, service packs, patches, and troubleshooting these updates
• Hardware/software troubleshooting related to Windows 10/11
• Knowledge of network and security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
• Active Directory, Group Policy, domain configuration experience
• PowerShell scripting and command-line proficiency
• WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation) knowledge
• Basic virtualization skills (Hyper-V, VMware)
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Desired skills:

• Knowledge of computer architecture, firmware, BIOS, device drivers
• Understanding OS principles like memory and process management
• Proficiency with performance tools (Microsoft Performance Toolkit, ProcDump, PerfMon, etc.)
