Job summary

The Shade Store is hiring a Window Treatment Installer in Washington, DC to perform in-home measurements and installations of our custom window treatments, including roller shades and drapery. You will learn motorization installation techniques and work closely with design consultants to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry or custom installation.
• In-home service experience preferred.
• Strong spoken and written communication skills.
• Active driver’s license and insurable.
• Ability to lift 55 lbs and climb ladders up to 26 ft.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-home measurements and installations of window treatments (roller/solar shades, Roman shades, drapery; blinds).
• Learn motorization installation and programming techniques (via Lutron).
• Provide a world-class experience during measure and install appointments.
• Demonstrate product use before leaving the job site.
• Use Measure + Install techniques and software for accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Design Consultants and HQ support teams in the field.
