Job summary

The Shade Store is hiring a Window Treatment Installer in San Francisco. You will perform in-home measurements and installations of our custom window treatments, including roller/solar shades, Roman shades, drapery, and wooden blinds.

Training on motorized installations (Lutron) will be provided, and you’ll work to ensure a world-class customer experience during each visit. Join a team that values precision and customer service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in carpentry, custom installation or a transferable skilled trade required.
• Significant experience with hand and power tools including drill, impact driver and level.
• Experience with various fasteners, anchors and drill bits.
• Ability to measure accurately within 1/8” with manual and laser devices.
• Strong customer service and in-home service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-home measurements and installations of our window treatment product lines (roller/solar shades, Roman shades, drapery, wooden blinds).
• Learn motorization installation and programming techniques (notably via Lutron).
• Provide customers with a world-class experience during each measure and install appointment.
• Leave a positive lasting impression by demonstrating product use before leaving the job site.
• Develop proficiency in The Shade Store’s Measure + Install methods and software to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with local Design Consultants to ensure a seamless end-to-end customer experience.
• Communicate with Headquarters Measure & Install teams while in the field and on-site.
• Use judgment to develop solutions to challenges during measurement and installation.
