Job summary

Pacific Source on Oahu seeks a versatile Window & Door Service Technician for a hybrid role combining hands-on repair work, product guidance, and field sales to homeowners and contractors across the Hawaiian Islands.

You will diagnose issues, perform on-site assessments, submit warranty claims, and travel inter-island to Maui, Big Island, and Kauai. Requires construction exp, sales aptitude, and a Hawaii driver’s license; benefits include insurance, PTO, and a 401(k) plan.

Job description

We are seeking a versatile Window & Door Service Technician to join our team on Oahu. This hybrid role requires a unique blend of hands-on technical expertise, guidance and strong interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for guiding field service repairs, diagnosing issues, and driving sales by consulting with contractors, and homeowners across the Hawaiian Islands.

Key Responsibilities

• Field Service & Technical Support:
• Diagnose, troubleshooting, and guide repairs for window and door systems, addressing issues like salt-air corrosion, leaks, hardware failure, and seal issues.
• Perform on-site assessments and warranty evaluations.
• Submit warranty claims to appropriate manufacturers.
• Provide installation guidance to customers and contractors in the field based on expert product knowledge and construction knowledge.
• Outside Sales & Consulting:
• Conduct on-site consultations to assess client needs and present high-end product solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with architects, high-end residential builders, and designers.
• Travel & Logistics:
• Travel regularly from Oahu to neighboring islands (Maui, Big Island, Kauai) for service calls.
• Maintain accurate service records and sales activity in our CRM.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Construction Experience: 2-3 years of general construction or building material installation experience is preferred. Must have a strong understanding of window and door frames, flashing, and waterproofing.
• Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency is necessary.Proficiency with levels and reading measurements is required.
• Sales Aptitude: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional "Aloha-minded" customer service approach.
• License: Valid Hawaii driver’s license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Compensation

Starting pay range of $28.00-38.50 / hr. based on experience and product knowledge.
