Job summary
MITER Brands is seeking a Field Service Technician to support customers across Oahu, Maui, the Big Island, and Kauai. The role involves diagnosing and repairing windows and doors, both under warranty and non-warranty, with frequent inter-island travel and travel-time paid.
You will be based on Oahu with regular trips to neighboring islands, typically working Monday–Friday with overtime based on travel needs. A customer-focused, hands-on problem solver will thrive here.
Qualifications
- Construction, glazing, remodeling, installation, or related hands-on experience.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot window and door issues.
- Complete warranty and non-warranty repairs.
- Replace glass and components.
- Conduct water testing and inspections.
- Take measurements and document completed work.
- Ensure all repairs meet company quality standards.
- Travel regularly between Oahu, Maui, Big Island, and Kauai.
- Book and manage your own flights and hotel accommodations within company guidelines.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners.
- Represent Milgard in customers' homes; build relationships and resolve issues efficiently.
- Coordinate required repair parts with internal teams; review work orders for accuracy; document service activities.
- Follow all company safety policies; wear PPE; operate company vehicles; maintain a clean driving record.

As a Service Technician, you'll provide warranty and non-warranty repair services in customers' homes throughout Hawaii. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, traveling regularly, and solving problems on-site.
You'll diagnose issues, perform repairs, document completed work, and represent Milgard with professionalism and exceptional customer service.
This position is based on Oahu, but frequent travel to Maui, the Big Island, and Kauai is required. While schedules vary, technicians are typically on Oahu each Friday and may spend Monday through Thursday on neighboring islands.

- Ability to attend approximately three weeks of training in Tacoma, WA

This role is best suited for a self-starter who can manage their schedule, plan travel, and work independently. You'll meet with your manager regularly, but day-to-day work is largely self-directed.
New hires will attend approximately three weeks of paid training in Tacoma, WA. Travel, lodging, and training expenses are covered by the company.
