ABB's NEMA Motors Division in Athens, GA is seeking a CNC Operator. You will operate and set up CNC turning, drilling, and milling centers, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet specifications. Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and factory orders.
• Achieve mechanical certification as required by ABB.
• Utilize basic computer skills on shop floor systems.

Responsibilities

• CNC Operations & Setup - operate and set up turning, drilling, and milling centers.
• Precision Manufacturing - machine cast iron/steel parts to spec with precision tools.
• Technical Expertise - demonstrate strong mechanical skills and understanding of equipment.
• Technical Documentation - read blueprints and internal docs accurately.
• Communication - follow English technical instructions on the shop floor.
• Teamwork & Performance - collaborate to meet productivity and quality goals.
• Safety & Compliance - follow lockout/tagout and safety procedures; shift work readiness.
