Job summary

ABB in the United States is seeking a hands-on assembly operator for the Pinetops, NC facility. The role focuses on supporting production targets through assembly of products and interpretation of technical diagrams on the shop floor, with packing integrated on production lines.

You will operate manually or with light tools, conduct quality checks, and follow safe SOPs in a predominantly onsite environment, maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
• Knowledge and use of tools - tape measure, calipers, grinders, or other hand tools, as needed.
• Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed.
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40lbs.

Responsibilities

• Conducting all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products/panels, including packing with production lines.
• Performing work manually or by using light hand tools.
• Carrying out regular quality testing as part of a defined production process.
• Operating within standard operating procedures and maintaining a clean work area.
