Job summary

ABB is hiring for a CNC Operations & Setup role in an onsite Athens, GA facility. The technician will operate and set up CNC turning, drilling, and milling centers, reading blueprints and technical diagrams to manufacture precision parts. Safety, teamwork, and quality control are essential in this role.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and mechanical certification as required by ABB. Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn will support success in this position.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical certification as required by ABB.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up CNC turning, drilling, and milling centers for short production runs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and routings to manufacture parts.
• Maintain quality standards with precision measuring equipment.
• Follow safety policies and lockout/tagout procedures in a manufacturing environment.
• Train coworkers and share knowledge as needed.
