Job summary

Curtiss-Wright EMD in Cheswick, PA is seeking a skilled Winder to lay out, wind and connect stators and rotors, including potting and insulation. This is a full-time on-site role requiring meticulous attention to detail and strong manual dexterity.

You must be a US citizen, able to obtain DoD security clearance, and have at least five years of winding experience. We offer a $2,500 sign-on bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.
• Minimum of five years of experience as a Winder.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail and learning agility.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate winding and associated operations as assigned.
• Review job assignment at work station with order card and drawing and other necessary information.
• Examine dimensions, tolerances, required tools and operations.
• Performs layout for winding complex stators and rotors.
• Build up, fit and assemble complete stator coils and rotors and related components; apply potting and insulation.
• Wind and connect complex stators and rotors where space is limited.
• Perform final connections after treating, space wedges, braze terminal gland studs and bus bars.
