Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Corrective Services Manager to lead wind turbine repair projects, safely and profitably, across North America. You will hire and mentor 8–12 technicians, develop project plans, and ensure safety and quality while coordinating with sales, engineering, and supply teams.

You will also drive process improvements, manage stakeholder communications, and contribute to tool and spare part enhancements, with travel up to 25% as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience managing repair projects in service, industrial or manufacturing settings.
• Proven ability to build and develop a skilled technician team.
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for safety and to profitably plan and coordinate assigned turbine repair projects.
• Hire, train, develop, and support between 8 to 12 technicians responsible for implementing designated repair projects within their regional area of responsibility.
• Implement corporate safety standards and ensure team members are properly trained and comply with organizational standards.
• Develop and coordinate project plans for assigned repair projects.
• Communicate project plan and status to internal and external stakeholders, and resolve project issues with stakeholders.
• Provide support to sales team in proposal development.
• Provide input to development team on tooling, work instructions, and spare parts improvements.
• Identify and facilitate changes to team functions to improve safety or efficiency.
• Develop and mentor managers at service contract sites to deliver turbine repair work outside contract scope.
• Collaborate with Resource Group to coordinate technicians across North America in multiple projects.
• Identify and develop key vendors for project strategy.
• Support continuous quality improvement to reduce defects in parts, repairs, and service.
