Job summary

Pattern Energy seeks a Reliability Engineer to support its wind and solar fleet with expert vibration analysis, data interpretation, and predictive maintenance strategies. The role emphasizes improving component reliability through RCA, SCADA data insights, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering teams.

The candidate should have a mechanical/electrical engineering background, 3–5 years in wind reliability, and experience with fleetMONITOR or similar diagnostics tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or similar Engineering required; Master’s preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience as a mechanical reliability engineer and/or vibration condition monitoring engineer in wind industry.
• Experience with Siemens, GE, or other wind OEM hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Investigate mechanical equipment failures, perform root cause assessments and containment actions.
• Oversee RCA with OEMs for reliability issues.
• Perform vibration analysis to detect failures and monitor data flow health.
• Serve as SME for wind turbine condition-based and predictive maintenance.
• Collaborate with engineering leaders to ensure holistic wind/turbine reliability.
• Provide technical support for operations teams with inspection guidance and troubleshooting.
