Job summary

MasTec, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Tech I in Dallas, TX to support wind turbine operations with an emphasis on major component exchanges and routine maintenance. You will learn to inspect, troubleshoot, and service turbine systems while adhering to strict safety protocols.

The role requires basic electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic understanding, with travel to various job sites on short notice. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with technical wind maintenance training

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent; wind turbine maintenance certs preferred.
Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
Travel to different jobsites on short notice.
Ability to work under pressure and meet timelines.

Responsibilities

Assist in major component exchanges for wind turbines, including gearboxes, generators, and blades.
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on turbine systems.
Ensure safety protocols are followed in all tasks.
Record detailed reports on maintenance and repair activities.
Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve issues promptly.
Develop an understanding of turbine systems and components.
Participate in ongoing safety training and adhere to safety-first culture.
