Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to lead the design and analysis of composite wind turbine blade structures. You will own the FEA work from predesign through factory implementation, delivering clear, timely results and collaborating with global teams.

The role requires performing ABAQUS/PATRAN analyses, identifying design risks, and documenting results to support certification and testing. Travel up to 20% domestically/internationally may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace or Civil Structural Engineering from a reputed university.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Global experience with cross-functional teams across cultural boundaries.
• Fluent in English, Verbal & Written.

Responsibilities

• Own composite structure design & analysis for NPI blade and develop design solutions that are competitive in performance, cost, and quality.
• Partner with Lead Structural Engineer to deliver FEA results within strict timelines.
• Perform FEA analysis of composite structures using ABAQUS, PATRAN & in-house tools.
• Highlight design risks and suggest mitigation plans.
• Document FEA results for certification and internal criteria.
• Collaborate with Test & Validation center to ensure necessary evaluation for test blade.
