GE Vernova is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to support design and analysis of the composite wind turbine blade structure. You will own FEA activities using ABAQUS and PATRAN, collaborate with the Lead Structural Engineer, and ensure designs meet certification requirements.

You will work with cross-functional teams across global locations, communicate results clearly, and travel domestically/internationally up to ~20% to support testing and validation activities.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Civil Structural Engineering from a reputed university.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Global experience with cross-functional teams across cultural boundaries.
• Fluent in English, Verbal & Written.

Responsabilidades

• Own composite structure design & analysis for NPI blade and develop design solutions that are competitive in performance, cost, and quality.
• Partner with Lead Structural Engineer to deliver FEA results within tight timelines.
• Perform FEA analysis of composite structure concepts using ABAQUS, PATRAN & in-house tools.
• Highlight design risks for failure modes related to 3D FE evaluation and propose mitigations.
• Document FEA results to ensure certification and internal design criteria are met.
• Collaborate with Test and Validation center to ensure necessary FEA evaluation for test blades.
• Lead or participate as presenter/reviewer in structure design reviews.
• Contribute to root cause analysis of blade failures and propose corrective actions.
