Job summary

Nordex Group is seeking an Assembly Operator—Mechanical Production Technician in West Branch, IA. The role focuses on building structural and mechanical wind turbine parts, including nacelles, hubs, and drive trains, following strict safety and quality procedures.

You will assemble components, perform torquing and alignment, and collaborate with QA and engineering to improve processes in a fast-paced renewable energy environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical certifications or technical training preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or heavy manufacturing.
• Ability to read work instructions and mechanical blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components of wind turbines using hand and power tools.
• Follow detailed work instructions and drawings to ensure accurate builds.
• Torquing, alignment, and fit-up of gearboxes, bearings, and shafts.
