Job summary

Kelly is hiring an Assembly Operator – Mechanical Production Technician in West Branch, IA to join our production team. You will assemble and build large mechanical components of wind turbine systems, following engineering drawings and strict safety and quality standards on the shop floor.

You will collaborate with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot and continuously improve manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in mechanical assembly or heavy manufacturing.
• Able to read blueprints and technical documentation.
• Experience with overhead cranes and torque equipment.
• Willingness to work at heights and pass safety tests.
• Mechanical certifications or training a plus.
• Strong commitment to teamwork and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and fit large mechanical components using hand and power tools.
• Follow detailed work instructions and technical drawings.
• Align, torque, and install gearboxes, bearings, and shafts.
• Operate overhead cranes and material handling equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and support team goals.
• Collaborate with quality and engineering team members.
