Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Project Manager to monitor and control the manufacturing and execution of wind towers at external subcontractors in AME region, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to safety, quality and cost targets.

You will coordinate outsourced production, collaborate across the supply chain, and drive readiness of towers to meet demand plans, with strong communication and teamwork in a global, wind-energy environment.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering background with knowledge of steel manufacturing and wind turbine tower production.
• Fluent English in writing and speaking.
• High interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly at all levels.
• Knowledge of production setup and processes in large companies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure tower manufacturing is completed on time meeting safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.
• Coordinate outsourced manufacturing and execution of wind towers in AME region.
• Collaborate with supply chain stakeholders from material purchasing to towers production and delivery to customer.
• Ensure turbines towers are ready in line with demand plans.
• Secure resource availability with stakeholders to avoid delays.
• Mitigate risks for major project-cycle issues and communicate to management.
