Job summary

Sky Climber Renewables is seeking a Wind Technician Level 1 for the TOP program in Nebraska. You will receive exclusive safety and technical training accredited through GWO and join a service team at a local wind site.

Responsibilities include basic mechanical installations, maintenance, and documentation, with safety as a priority. Travel up to 25% and overtime may be required; full-time employment with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (Sky Climber does not provide sponsorships).
• Must live within 1-hour commuting distance to job site unless actively relocating to the area.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Successful completion of a climb preview prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic mechanical installations, maintenance, operations, and upgrades following established procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge of tools and use them safely.
• Dismantle and assemble basic machinery, components, and equipment.
• Accurately document all work performed.
• Follow all Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) procedures.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Associate’s degree in a technical mechanical field, wind energy discipline, or equivalent technical experience
