Job summary

Sky Climber Renewables, in partnership with Vestas Americas, offers the TOP Wind Service Technician Level 1 program. This full-time role provides exclusive GWO training, hands-on maintenance at wind sites near home, and a clear path into a career in wind power.

As a TOP Wind Technician, you will perform preventive, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance on turbine equipment, work safely, document tasks, and join a team focused on reliability and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (Sky Climber does not provide sponsorship)
• Live within 1-hour commuting distance to job site unless relocating
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Ability to read, write, and understand English
• Successful completion of a climb preview prior to hire
• Associate’s degree in technical mechanical field or wind energy discipline (preferred)
• Mechanical or electrical background (preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret basic diagrams and wiring schematics (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Perform basic mechanical installations, maintenance, operations, and upgrades following established procedures
• Demonstrate knowledge of tools and use them safely
• Dismantle and assemble basic machinery, components, and equipment
• Accurately document all work performed
• Follow all Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) procedures
