Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Wind Technician to maintain turbine operations, safety, quality control, and warranty repairs at wind sites within Hub ME1. You will coordinate with Site Lead and Manager to meet contractual requirements, traveling locally to perform daily tasks and on-site diagnostics.

The role requires physical work including climbing towers, handling equipment up to 300 lbs, and working in varied environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ year experience as Wind Technician/Wind Mechanic, or completed Wind Certificate Program/Associate’s Degree in Energy, or 2 years of electrical work experience.
• Passing a Technical Knowledge Assessment.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain turbine operations, safety, quality control and warranty repairs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on turbines.
• Document all work using service reporting procedures.
• Coordinate with Site Lead/Manager to meet contract requirements.
• Assist remote operations center as needed.
• Work safely with minimal supervision and at sites within Hub ME1.
