Job summary

Enel North America is seeking a Wind Technician I to inspect, troubleshoot, install components and repair wind turbines and related components. You will perform planned maintenances while assisting Technician II's and III's to restore turbines to service.

This role involves mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical maintenance, documentation, safety compliance, and collaboration with regional wind maintenance teams. It requires travel up to 25% and ability to work at heights.

Qualifications

• High school completion and 1+ year's related experience or training.
• Detail-oriented with strong attention to safety and quality.
• Able to use electrical test equipment (DMM, megger) and perform electrical troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of electrical theory and practical troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with SQL Server and reporting systems.
• Familiar with maintenance and electronic testing equipment and heavy facility maintenance.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and respond to site emergencies.
• Able to climb turbine towers and work at heights.
• Weight safety limits and PPE usage compliance.

Responsibilities

• Complete all scheduled maintenance for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment to maximize generation.
• Install, test, maintain and troubleshoot minor components; assist with major components.
• Perform current and voltage calculations as necessary.
• Initiate and maintain maintenance records and reports.
• Complete LOTO, JSA's, and safety documentation.
• Support regional Wind Maintenance activities and QA/QC.
• Collaborate with Technical Support for proactive repairs.
• Comply with ISO and HSEQ policies and procedures.
• Assist with inventory control and optional BOP activities.
• Participate in on-the-job and off-site training; complete required training.
