Job summary

EDP Renewables is seeking an entry-level Wind Technician I at the Gainesville, TX wind farm. You will be responsible for on-site operations, maintenance, repair, and documentation to support safe turbine performance.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, mechanical background, and 1–2 years related experience. The role requires lifting, climbing, and ability to work outdoors; travel up to 10% may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical schooling preferred.
• 1–2 years wind energy or related industry experience.
• Able to pass background check and drug test; valid driver's license.
• Ability to read drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wind turbines and related equipment.
• Perform safety inspections and document compliance.
• Assist with maintenance, repairs, and replacement of equipment.
• Coordinate with Remote Operations Center as needed.
