Job summary

NextEra Energy is seeking a Wind Technician III (Entry Level) in Burlington, CO to perform preventative maintenance on wind turbine systems and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components. This is a stationary wind position with outdoor work at turbine sites.

The role supports safety programs, collaborates with internal teams, and contributes to reliability and turbine availability while advancing via training and development programs.

Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED required.
• Ability to climb wind turbines up to 300 feet.
• Valid non-CDL driver's license.
• Post-offer functional capacity evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular preventive maintenance on wind turbine equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain company equipment, facilities, and tooling.
• Support safety reporting and environmental compliance.
• Assist with Lean Six Sigma projects and team development.
