Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources is seeking a Wind Technician I (Advanced Level) in Peetz, CO to perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on wind turbine systems. You will work on electrical and mechanical components, ensuring safe, reliable operation and turbine availability at the site.

Requires 3+ years in a technical field or a technical certificate/degree, High School Diploma or GED, and ability to climb turbines up to 300 feet. Relocation provided; eligibility for company benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED required or equivalent
• 3+ years in a technical field or technical cert/degree
• Ability to climb wind turbines up to 300 feet
• Post-Offer Functional Capacity Eval required
• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL) required

Responsibilities

• Performs regular preventative maintenance and repair on wind turbine power generation equipment
• Completes electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting
• Maintains all company supplied equipment, facilities, and tooling
• Applies advanced understanding of technical and process functions and basic QA knowledge
• Provides oversight to other personnel and acts as a Safety Mentor
• Meets attendance requirements
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
