Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a Wind Hub Technician to support onshore wind sites.

The role involves daily turbine operations, maintenance, safety, quality control and warranty repair, with collaboration to meet contractual obligations and timelines. The technician will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on variable pitch & speed turbines, document work in service reports, and coordinate with the remote operations center as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 1 year experience as Wind Technician or 2 years with hydraulic/electrical experience; must pass Technical Knowledge Assessment; basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs, climb towers 300+ ft, and comply with safety standards; valid driver's license required.
• Technical certification in Wind Energy or Electrical/Electronic field is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Work with site leadership to meet customer requirements and daily contract obligations.
• Perform maintenance, repair or replacement of parts to correct malfunctions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on wind turbines.
• Document all work using computer-based service reporting procedures.
• Coordinate with GE’s remote operations center when needed.
