Job summary

EDP Renewables is seeking a Wind Technician II for our Dwight, IL wind farm. You will operate and maintain turbines and related equipment, perform safety and compliance inspections, and support remote operation coordination.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, good data reporting, and a proactive approach to process improvements. The ideal candidate brings 2–5 years in wind energy, familiar with diagnostics tools and MS Office, and holds a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of college or technical school or equivalent training/experience.
• Experience in wind energy or related industry preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office and basic diagnostics tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of wind turbines and associated equipment.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes.
• Communicate and implement control management protocols as needed.
• Seek assistance when turbine issues exceed trained capabilities.
• Comply with safety programs and act as a safety role model.
• Perform data collection and prepare reports for compliance.
• Coordinate with Remote Operations Control Center for remote actions.
• Conduct QA/QC inspections per SOPs.
• Document all work using service reporting software.
• Complete required training and adhere to internal controls.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
