Job summary

EDP Renewables North America is seeking a Wind Technician II to join the on-site team at our Payne, OH wind farm. You will perform operations, maintenance, and safety-focused repairs on turbines and plant equipment, ensuring compliance with EDPR policies and environmental guidelines.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in wind energy, a valid driver’s license, and proficiency with MS Office and diagnostics tools. This role requires working at height and occasional travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of college or technical school education, or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of wind energy or related industry experience.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.
• Proficient with MS Office, SQL server, and maintenance reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wind turbines and related equipment at the wind farm.
• Perform LOTO, Tail Board, and safety documentation.
• Inspect equipment for compliance with policies and safety guidelines.
• Coordinate with Remote Operations Control Center when needed.
• Document work using computer-based service reporting.
