Job summary

Capital Power seeks a Site Manager to lead the Macho Springs wind farm in New Mexico. You will oversee daily wind operations, manage subcontractors, and ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and performance targets.

This role drives cost-effective, reliable power generation through strong cross-functional collaboration. The role requires a post-secondary degree in Business or Engineering, plus 3-5 years in operations/maintenance within energy, with CMMS (Maximo) proficiency.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years leading operations and maintenance; solar/power plant background preferred.
• Strong knowledge of power systems, HV, and substation operation (preferred).
• Ability to build relationships with on-site turbine maintenance contractors and capital power interests.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate day-to-day wind operations at Macho Springs.
• Oversight of subcontractors and coordination with other departments.
• Maintain and improve site safety programs and practices.
• Analyze performance metrics and recommend operational improvements.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and permits; manage CMMS as site expert.
• Develop and review processes to mitigate risks and ensure policy compliance.
• Communicate effectively across functions to achieve results.
• Prepare monthly budget variance reports and coordinate with finance.
