Job summary

AES Corporation in Winslow, AZ is seeking a regular full-time Wind Farm Maintenance Manager. You will lead maintenance, scheduling, safety, budgeting, and site operations for the Chevelon Butte Wind Farm, reporting to the AES wind team lead.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in maintenance/operations, wind turbine experience (Vestas preferred), and strong safety and communication skills. Travel and varied shifts may apply; a company vehicle and AES credit card are provided.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in plant maintenance or operations in technical fields.
• Wind generation experience; Vestas turbine exposure is a plus.
• Proficiency with CMMS/SAP and safety standards.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional, diverse team.
• Strong English reading/writing and communication.
• Knowledge of safety, environmental regulations, and procedures.
• Proactive problem solving and reliability focus.
• Ability to build professional relationships and teamwork.
• Site equipment knowledge: wind turbines, substations, SCADA, PPE.
• Experience in high voltage maintenance and switching.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and ensure contractual requirements are met.
• Schedule maintenance, repairs, and warranty work at the facility.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NERC, CAISO, and environmental rules.
• Source and manage third-party work at the facility.
• Manage balance-of-plant duties: substation, lines, roads, landowner concerns.
• Maintain relationships with OEMs, landowners, and contractors.
• Respond to outages and facilitate repairs when needed.
• Maintain 24/7 emergency response for the site.
• Oversee OEM operations monitoring and reporting.
• Assist in creating and managing the facility budget.
