Job summary

The AES Corporation is seeking a seasoned Team Leader, Plant Operations for the West Camp Wind Farm near Holbrook, AZ. The role requires strong leadership to guide wind plant maintenance, safety, and performance, with a focus on coordinating contracts, schedules, and regulatory compliance.

You will oversee outages, emergency response, and 24/7 operations, working with the Mountain West Regional Wind Manager and cross-functional teams to optimize plant availability and reliability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in wind generation, plant maintenance or operations.
• Experience with Vestas turbines is a significant advantage.
• Strong leadership and safety management abilities.
• Proficient in CMMS (SAP) and basic IT skills.
• Ability to read, write and understand English; capable of cross-functional work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contractual requirements between all project entities.
• Schedule maintenance, repair and warranty work at the facility.
• Maintain facility compliance with OSHA, NERC, CAISO and environmental rules.
• Source and manage third-party service contractors.
• Direct balance of plant duties including substations, lines, and site maintenance.
• Build strong relationships with project participants and contractors.
• Respond to outages and maintain 24/7 emergency response for the site.
• Provide oversight of OEM operations and assist in budget management.
