Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an operator for the Wake Repower Wind Project in Floydada, TX. The role involves operating a range of heavy equipment as directed, while adhering to Mortenson safety policies and procedures.

You will routinely follow pre-task cards, work plans, and safety rules, ensuring efficient daily operations and collaboration with diverse teams across the site. The position requires strong teamwork and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of related experience.
• Equipment certifications as required.
• Valid driver’s license with endorsements as required by law.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and load charts.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment as directed for the Wake Repower Wind Project (blade, dozer, loader, crane, forklift, telehandler, etc.).
• Follow safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Perform routine maintenance, observe equipment operation, and detect malfunctions.
• Follow work plans and pre-task cards for daily activities.
• Build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
