Job summary

PacifiCorp is seeking a seasoned Wind Environmental Supervisor to lead environmental technicians and contractors across wind facilities in Wyoming. You will ensure compliance with wildlife and avian regulations, supervise field crews, coordinate with leadership, and manage budgets and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biological or environmental sciences or equivalent.
• Minimum five years in wildlife field, preferably related to energy generation.
• Minimum three years in supervisory role overseeing employees.
• Knowledge of wind energy environmental aspects and wildlife regulations.
• Ability to travel for site visits, trainings, audits, and meetings.
• Strong writing and data interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with environmental and wildlife policies, permits and regulations.
• Oversee day-to-day wind environmental/wildlife field work and contractors.
• Coordinate with leadership on implementation and compliance requirements.
• Hold employees and contractors accountable to safety, productiveness and compliance.
• Oversee avian surveys, environmental monitoring and curtailment activities.
• Interview, hire, train, coach, and develop staff as assigned.
• Assist with scope of work, invoicing, budgets and reporting.
• Deliver training and guidance to operations staff and contractors.
• Build cooperative relationships with Operations and regulatory agencies.
• Implement business objectives and plans; review permits and conditions.
• Develop/update policies to ensure environmental compliance.
