Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Engineer III or IV - Wind Collection to support preliminary and detailed engineering for wind collection, medium voltage distribution, and renewable projects through 500kV. You will work with Engineering PMs, Design Phase Managers, Project Managers and customers to develop deliverables and ensure QA/QC.

This role offers two levels (III or IV) and base pay varies by experience and location. Hiring locations include Denver, CO; Minneapolis, MN; Fargo, ND; San Antonio, TX.

Qualifications

• BSEE or related engineering program; ABET accreditation preferred.
• Procore and engineering software familiarity; electrical background or experience in power systems.

Responsibilities

• Support wind collection and renewable project design and construction.
• Develop innovative designs to optimize cost and performance.
• Interface with stakeholders and present to decision-makers.
• Provide technical support for proposals, estimating, and construction.
• Coordinate with disciplines and project managers to deliver designs.
• Lead design tasks on large projects and mentor engineers.
• Review vendor quotes with Lead Engineer/Design Phase Manager.
