Job summary

African Safari Wildlife Park seeks a Farm and Facilities Manager to lead maintenance, grounds, and park infrastructure, ensuring safety, reliability, and operational readiness for guests and animals.

The role drives preventative maintenance, manages a team, coordinates with contractors, and collaborates with park departments to support daily operations in a dynamic wildlife environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• 3+ years in maintenance, facilities, construction, skilled trades, or related experience
• Previous supervisory or management experience required
• General building maintenance knowledge including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, and grounds maintenance
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and prioritize repairs
• Flexibility for 40-60 hours per week, including some weekends and after-hours emergencies

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of park facilities and maintenance: buildings, grounds, utilities, equipment, and infrastructure
• Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs and records
• Coordinate safety inspections, permits, and regulatory compliance
• Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate with other park departments
• Coordinate projects with contractors and vendors
• Ensure guest areas are clean, functional, and safe
