Job summary

Snohomish County PUD #1 is seeking a Professional Engineer (Wildfire Mitigation) to lead and advance the district's wildfire mitigation program in a way that supports safe, reliable, and resilient electric utility operations. This role requires strategic oversight, risk assessment, and coordination with stakeholders to ensure defensible, data-driven mitigation strategies.

The position emphasizes governance, program development, and leadership of cross-functional teams, with required PE licensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering related field
• Six (6) years of related engineering experience
• Ten (10) years of directly related engineering experience
• Valid Washington State Driver's License with a good driving record
• Washington State Professional Engineering (PE) License

Responsibilities

• Manage wildfire mitigation program with responsibility for leading and advancing the District’s wildfire mitigation program; provide strategic leadership, governance, and accountability for wildfire mitigation activities.
• Lead cross-functional planning efforts, evaluate wildfire risk and system vulnerabilities, and drive continuous program improvement through lessons learned and performance monitoring.
