Job summary

Snohomish County PUD #1 is seeking a dedicated Professional Engineer (Wildfire Mitigation) to lead and advance the district's wildfire risk reduction program. This role focuses on governance, strategic oversight, and data-driven mitigation under PSPS and other protocols to ensure safe, reliable electric service.

The successful candidate will manage plans, risk assessments, and metrics while coordinating with external agencies and internal teams to drive continuous improvement and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering-related field.
• Six years of related engineering experience, or ten years for equivalent expertise.
• WA State PE License required; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead wildfire mitigation program to align with regulatory requirements and enterprise risk management.
• Develop wildfire risk models, mitigation plans, and performance metrics for risk reduction.
• Coordinate cross-functional planning, risk assessments, and program governance.
• Represent the district in external conferences and industry groups; mentor junior engineers.
