Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest seeks a Wildfire Relief Specialist to deliver comprehensive case management for wildfire-impacted households in Spokane, WA. The role involves needs assessments, recovery planning, client advocacy, and coordinating with community resources to support housing, employment, and financial stability.

You will apply trauma-informed care, conduct outreach, and maintain confidential records while collaborating with partners and programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have valid driver's license, clean driving record, personal auto insurance, and pass background and driver record check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to identify immediate, short-term, and long-term needs of those impacted.
• Develop individualized recovery plans addressing housing, employment, financial stability, transportation, health care, mental health, and other needs.
• Maintain ongoing contact with participants to monitor progress and adjust service plans.
• Provide crisis intervention, emotional support, and referrals while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential participant records in compliance with agency, grant, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with community organizations and government agencies to connect participants to workforce development, housing stabilization, financial education, and other services.
• Represent Goodwill professionally and participate in program data collection and reporting.
