Job summary

The National WIC Association (NWA) seeks a Research Project Manager to lead activities for the WIC MIS modernization project under a four-year USDA cooperative agreement. The role involves expert guidance, stakeholder engagement, and coordinating with Nava Public Benefit Corporation to modernize MIS.

The position is temporary and ends on September 20, 2028, with responsibilities spanning surveys, landscape analysis, and technical assistance planning for state and local WIC agencies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience managing federally funded projects or federal cooperative agreements.
• Proven ability to oversee contracted, technical scrum teams on complex multi-year technology projects.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills; project management certification preferred.
• WIC MIS knowledge or experience with similar programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert and point person for WIC MIS project work with partners.
• Develop surveys and analyze results to meet stakeholder educational needs.
• Engage in project management and troubleshoot project issues with the project lead.
• Support discovery research: surveys, interviews, and focus groups.
• Draft and finalize the landscape report based on analysis and findings.
• Assist in developing technical assistance plans and materials.
