Job summary

NTT DATA, Inc. in Baltimore, MD; seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead a large-scale Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) modernization from initiation to deployment.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, state Medicaid agencies, CMS, and vendors, driving schedules, budgets, and certification efforts. The role requires 7–10 years in IT project management, PMP certification, and deep Medicaid/MITA/CMS knowledge.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of IT project management experience.
• 5 years dedicated to large-scale MMIS implementations or Medicaid modernization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
• Active PMP certification is required.
• Deep understanding of Medicaid modularity, MITA maturity, and CMS MECT/MECT toolkits.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for non-technical executives.

Responsibilities

• Drive MMIS implementation from initiation through deployment and post-implementation stabilization.
• Act as liaison between state Medicaid agencies, CMS, vendors, and internal teams.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans with milestones and resource allocations.
• Identify and mitigate risks to prevent delays or scope creep.
• Guide CMS Outcomes-Based Certification (OBC) or Streamlined Modular Certification (SMC) processes.
• Oversee vendor deliverables, SLAs, and technical specifications.
• Manage project budget, expenditures, forecasts, and variance.
