Job summary

Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) in Delaware seeks staff to enroll participants in the WIC program, provide nutrition resources, and issue vouchers to clients certified by nutritionists.

Qualifications

• Six months experience in document processing and verifying records for completeness.
• Six months experience in record keeping.
• Knowledge of health or human services support and client needs.
• Familiarity with automated information systems for data entry and retrieval.

Responsibilities

• Enroll eligible participants in the WIC program and issue vouchers after certification.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, interview clients and collect demographic data.
• Provide routine information and prepare standard correspondence.
• Refer clients to appropriate services and follow up on appointments.
