Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, IA is seeking a WIC Support Staff member to perform varied office duties, greet the public, answer phones, and interview participants to complete intake. You will enroll program applicants, determine income eligibility, issue benefits, explain eWIC usage, maintain records, and schedule appointments.

The role involves maintaining the computer system, printing benefits, and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year data entry experience with related clerical duties.
• One year experience in dealing with the public.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsabilités

• Greets the public, answers phones and interviews participants to complete intake process.
• Enrolls program applicants to obtain demographic information and determine income eligibility; offers voter registration.
• Issues benefits to participants and explains proper use of the eWIC card.
• Maintains records and keeps the computer system up to date; prints benefits and forms; schedules appointments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
