Job summary

AIG in Lexington is seeking an Underwriting Team Lead to guide a high-performing team in Wholesale Property and E&S underwriting. You will drive broker and portfolio strategies, balance risk and profitability, and mentor colleagues while collaborating across divisions to strengthen the national underwriting culture.

The role requires at least 5 years of Property E&S underwriting experience, the ability to underwrite complex structures, and strong market insights to quote quickly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Commercial Property E&S underwriting.
• Underwrite property risks across primary, excess, and layered structures.
• Ability to turn around quotes quickly and manage multiple prospects.
• Mentor new professionals and collaborate across zones.
• Lead broker and portfolio strategies while meeting production goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead an underwriting team to develop broker and portfolio strategies.
• Underwrite 100%, primary/shared and layered structures and manage a profitable book.
• Collaborate with regional Property peers to build a nationally renowned team.
