Job summary

HRCap, Inc. is assisting a New York streetwear brand in finding an Assistant Merchandising Coordinator. The role supports the Merchandising team with line planning, product data integrity, market research, and cross-department coordination between Design, Sales, and Production.

This entry-level position emphasizes detail, systems-driven processes, and foundation-building in wholesale merchandising. The role collaborates with Design, Sales, and Production to ensure accurate style

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of merchandising, buying, or related apparel/wholesale experience (internships count).
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP comfort a plus).
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and ability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced wholesale environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building and maintaining the seasonal line plan/assortment matrix.
• Track style counts, delivery dates, and category breakdowns against line plan targets.
• Set up and maintain style masters in the ERP/PLM system with complete data before submission.
• Cross-check style data for consistency across Master Line Sheets, CADs, tech packs, and samples; resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain logs tracking color, fit, fabric, and sample status changes.
• Collaborate with Design, Technical Design, and Production to source missing information and correct data errors.
• Own updates to existing style master records as styles evolve through development and production.
• Liaise between Design, Production, and Sales to keep style information, samples, and timelines aligned.
• Pull and organize sell-through, reorder, and inventory reports; assist in tracking best-sellers and slow-movers.
