Global retail apparel client is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Associate Merchandiser to support the planning, execution, and management of product assortments throughout the product lifecycle. This role partners closely with Merchandising, Planning, Sourcing, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to drive business results, support key initiatives, and ensure accurate product and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Merchandising team in achieving departmental sales, margin, and inventory goals.
- Analyze business performance, sales trends, and market insights to identify opportunities and support decision-making.
- Prepare and distribute weekly, monthly, and seasonal reports.
- Maintain assortment plans, update receipts, manage sample tracking, and ensure data accuracy across merchandising systems.
- Assist with product lifecycle processes and prepare materials for key business meetings, including investment reviews and hindsight analyses.
- Research competitors, market trends, pricing strategies, and product assortments to inform merchandising decisions.
- Collaborate with Planning, Sourcing, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to support product launches and promotional initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with business partners and contribute to a collaborative, solutions-focused team environment.
- Ensure timely communication of merchandising updates and critical information across stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 1+ year of merchandising experience, including internships or relevant retail experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an understanding of retail metrics and business performance.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and time management abilities.
- Passion for fashion and a strong understanding of consumer and brand trends.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
