Job Description

Remote: This position does not require the employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee’s role enables them to work off-site on a permanent basis. This position requires coverage of territory visits to dealerships in the region.

The territory covers dealerships in Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Tennessee, supporting assigned Wholesale dealerships in this region. The selected candidate must live within a 50-mile radius of Little Rock, AK or Jackson, MS or relocate to the assigned territory.

This job may be eligible for relocation benefits.

The Role:

The Sales professional is responsible for managing the Sales and Service Agreements between GM, its dealers, external fleet customers, and Independent Aftermarket (IAM) stores. They act as consultants to dealers and IAMs, collaborating on business plans, marketing initiatives, customer retention, product displays, financial analysis, and training.

What You’ll Do:

  1. Analyze challenges independently, develop options, and implement initiatives.
  2. Identify opportunities and propose solutions to improve processes, services, and structures supporting strategies.
  3. Devise solutions based on limited information and precedent.
  4. Use evaluation and judgment to solve new, complex problems requiring strategic thought.
  5. Build relationships with internal and external partners, persuading as needed.
  6. Manage diverse issues with multiple components, developing comprehensive plans and leading cross-team efforts.
  7. Lead by example, taking responsibility, acknowledging mistakes, and achieving goals.
  8. Address issues with innovative methods and alternative approaches.
  9. Attain sales objectives and develop business growth plans.
  10. Maintain integrity in dealer agreements and oversee dealer distribution footprint.
  11. Serve as SME for GM Parts programs and initiatives.
  12. Support customer training activities.
  13. Collaborate across functions to support profitable growth in the aftermarket.
  14. Create countermeasures to mitigate headwinds.
  15. Track KPIs: SRT sales, IAM Envolve sales, customer training sessions.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • 3+ years in Dealer Wholesale Operations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Dealership Service & Parts operations.
  • Proficient in Independent Aftermarket.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and work autonomously.
