Job summary

Atlantic Union Bank is seeking a Relationship Specialist III in wholesale banking. This role supports client relationships, collaborates with Relationship Managers, credit portfolio, treasury, and loan services to originate and service loans and deposits in assigned portfolios.

You will manage daily client requests, perform due diligence, and ensure accurate documentation while promoting a high-quality banking experience and regulatory compliance across functions.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of commercial or consumer banking experience.
• One to three years of commercial loan and deposit experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to daily client requests and inquiries promptly, researching and resolving issues per Bank policies.
• Identify potential problems or compliance concerns to safeguard customer relations.
• Ensure compliance with BSA/AML and loan/deposit origination policies.
• Open, service, and maintain wholesale deposit accounts per regulations.
• Maintain knowledge of Treasury Management products related to receivables, payables, and liquidity.
• Monitor NSF and unposted transaction reports and coordinate timely postings.
• Process loan payments, advances, transfers, and stop payments.
• Gather and file financial statements and related documents.
• Coordinate due diligence items like lien searches, flood certs, appraisals.
• Complete due diligence to ensure quality account documentation.
• Collect KYC/AML information including organizational docs and OFAC checks.
• Coordinate loan documents with Centralized Doc Prep and ensure accuracy before closing.
• Handle internal/external loan closings with counsel and title companies.
• Fund and board loans; prepare loan packages for imaging/records.
• Prepare tickets, OTEs, and wire transfers as needed.
• Assist in management of construction/development loans and draw requests.
• In CRE, assist with Builder Lines of Credit management.
• Maintain knowledge of specialized loans (asset-based, SWAPs, participations).
• Assist with reporting and clearing loan/deposit exceptions.
• Prepare payoff quotes and coordinate collateral releases.
• Assist with client presentation materials.
• Maintain CRM data integrity and accurate source system accounts.
• Mentor junior specialists and support training.
• Complete required training on time; back-up for others.
