Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Light-Wheel Vehicle Mechanic to supervise and perform maintenance and recovery operations on wheeled vehicles in the field and shop, including electrical systems and wiring harnesses.

You will inspect, maintain, repair, test, and replace components, and participate in mandatory training during Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training, all while earning a regular paycheck.

Qualifications

• Interest in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems.
• Interest in automotive engines and how they work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain wheeled vehicles and associated trailers and equipment.
• Service automotive electrical systems, including wiring harness, starting and charging systems.
