DC Army National Guard is seeking a Light-Wheel Vehicle Mechanic to supervise and perform maintenance and recovery operations on wheeled vehicles in the field and in the shop.

You will inspect, service, maintain, repair, and test electrical systems, including wiring harnesses and charging systems, while supporting preventive maintenance and safety requirements. Prioritize reliability and readiness for mobilization and training events.

Qualifications

• Must enlist in the Army National Guard.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Age 17–35.
• Must pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain wheeled vehicles, associated trailers, and material handling equipment.
• Service automotive electrical systems, including wiring harness and charging systems.
• Inspect, service, maintain, repair, test, and replace vehicle components; perform recovery operations.
